How to create your own event within Erasmus+

This is how I would promote the Cherry Experience training. For over a decade now, the Cherry International Foundation, of which I am proudly a co-founder, has marked the lives of over 500 youngsters (I know, because I was one of these youngsters) with their unique way of realising projects as youth exchanges, and now training courses, long-term and volunteering projects under the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps subsidies.

Cherry developed its own method on how to make use of these events as means of youth work and people often asks Cherry how does Cherry create this impact. This is when we decided to create a training course, in which we allow participants to experience the key elements of a project (or any event), and then give them the space to develop their own insights, so that they can create their own methodology in their projects.

The program involves the following elements:

  • how to embrace another methodology, even if completely out of the box for your standards? This is when learning starts.

  • is your idea appealing and can you convince sponsors of it?

  • what will be the highlight of your event?

  • develop your own programme

  • develop your methodology and practice with colleagues from other countries

  • test your flexibility: things will not always go as according to plan

  • how to fit all of this within Erasmus+?
